JD Hebert Memorial Steer Wrestling Set To Raise Scholarship Funds
A steer wrestling jackpot is being held in memory of JD Hebert to help raise money for his memorial scholarship fund.

A steer wrestling jackpot is being held in memory of former Louisiana high school state rodeo champion John Dooley "J.D." Hebert, who passed away last year in a tragic boating accident.
The J.D. Hebert Memorial Steer Wrestling is being held on Friday, February 3, at the West Cal Arena in Sulphur, LA, to help raise money for a scholarship fund in Hebert's name. The scholarships will be awarded to two Louisiana High School Rodeo Association members to attend a vocational and technical school.
Hebert was a 2012 graduate of Iota High School in Iota, LA, and was the state high school steer wrestling champion in 2012. He loved to rodeo, hunt, fish and spend time with his family and friends. Hebert passed away on October 15, 2015, in an offshore boating accident.
Everyone is invited to come join in the fun in the celebration of his life. The date for the memorial steer wrestling was picked to be in conjunction with the Southwest District Livestock Show and Rodeo in Lake Charles, LA. The event is sure to draw some young hot talent, along with some superstars of rodeo.
