Analysis:

After watching Denver Johnson all season, I have just one question: Does he even know how to ride up and rope one? I have yet to see it.

Johnson has been reaching his way to the pay window all season long with partner Tristin Woolsey, and the pair has now qualified for their first Canadian Finals Rodeo as the season leaders. The two had seven sub-five-second runs in CPRA competition this year, and I’m sure many more at jackpots.

The Strathmore, Alberta, roper is a wild card for me at CFR this year. He’s not a “safety up” type roper so we know he’s going to run at the line and be slinging it when he gets there.

I’m expecting a lot of round money to be heading in this team ropers direction next week. If you haven’t signed up to watch the CFR on FloRodeo yet, you better do it HERE so you don’t miss out on this talented young roper’s debut at Canada’s pinnacle rodeo event.
