After winning his second PBR Canada premier Monster Energy Tour event in a row, Central de Minas, Brazil’s Marcos Gloria has surged to the lead in the Canadian PBR standings. Gloria saw his second consecutive victory at the Scotia Bank Center in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with an 86.5-point in round two, securing him the round victory and—with a strong pen of bulls that only allowed a handful of rides—the event win.

It’s been a long road back for both Crystal Christman and her horse after they took a fall last summer that saw Christman with a broken pelvis, but she’s now slowly gearing up for the 2018 Canadian Professional Rodeo Association season. Even though she nearly made the 2017 Canadian Finals Rodeo and got a taste of some big wins, Christman still maintains a humble, relaxed, “take it as it comes” attitude.

This was the second of four rides Gloria made on his way to winning the PBR’s Canadian Iron Cowboy competition in Quebec City, Quebec.

2017 PBR world champion Jess Lockwood won the first round of Canada’s first Iron Cowboy competition. The Montana native traveled North of the border to Quebec City, Quebec, and saw himself advancing as the No. 1 man in the bracketed rounds after winning the opening round with this 86-point ride aboard Wild Hoggs Bucking Bulls’ Marshal’s Law.

After months of recovery from a car accident that could have ended his life, reigning Canadian champion tie-down roper Logan Bird is back to his winning ways both north and south of the border. He had to battle through broken ribs that affected his ability to swing and a broken jaw that forced him to string from the belt, but he says he's feeling like he is almost back to normal and the leaderboard proves it.

The semifinals of the PBR’s Canadian Iron Cowboy in Quebec City, Quebec, saw Marcos Gloria with a score of 84 points on Minion Stewart from Skori Bucking Bulls. The ride eliminated Tisdale Saskatchewan’s Justin Lloyd in the bracket-style competition and meant Gloria would move on to the final match.
