Ty Taypotat On His Favorite Bareback Riggings

Night two in the bareback riding saw hometown cowboy Ty Taypotat top the leaderboard with his 83.5-point score aboard C5 Rodeo’s “Road Crush.” Taypotat is unlike many competitors who study the horses drawn for them before they make their rides—the Regina cowboy hopped on “blind,” that worked out for the best tonight.

Taypotat sits in the second spot in the average race behind 2017 Canadian all-around champion, Ky Marshall, who scored 166 points on two head of horses to lead the way.
