Record Alert: Brandon Cullins Sets New Record For The American

Record Alert: Cullins Fastest At Semifinals

Brandon Cullins has set the new record to beat for the semi finals of RFD-TV’s The American, presented by Dish in the Fort Worth Stockyard’s Cowtown Coliseum. His time in the buy back round of 13.523 aboard "A Cornerstone" is the fastest the event has seen, and helped him earn his spot in the semi finals.

Cullins has experience at the world’s richest one-day rodeo, he made it all the way to the top four shoot out round last year where a knocked barrel took him out of the running. He has qualified for the semi finals with four other men – Troy Crumrine, who also qualified in the buy back round, Dustin Angelle, Craig Brooks, and Jimmy Bryant who qualified through the slack – something that is not seen in the world of professional rodeo with the WPRA only allowing women to compete in the event, but becoming more commonplace in the barrel jackpot world.
