2017 Rookie Of The Year Diane Skocdopole After Barrel Racing Aggregate Win
The 2017 Rookie of the Year in the ladies barrel racing is showing no signs of slowing down for the 2018 season. Diane Skocdopole conquered the aggregate with a total time of 28.682. She placed second in round one with a 14.174, and while her time of 14.508 in the second round didn’t yield a round cheque, it did give her the aggregate win. Diane won her very first buckle just over two weeks ago at the Canadian Finals Rodeo when she was presented with her Rookie of the Year buckle, now she can add her Agribition buckle to the trophy cabinet! She also takes home $3,861.15, unofficially.

Rhen Richard Confident Heading Into 2018 With Tie-Down Win & Payout
Tie-down roper Rhen Richard had his work cut out for him tonight when he drew “the runner” of the pen, but he got the job done to the tune of 9.9 seconds. After his round one winning time of 7.5 seconds gave him a huge lead, and some breathing room, his nine-second run was enough to keep him in the No. 1 spot in the aggregate with a total time of 17.4 seconds on two. Richard takes a cheque worth $4,295.72 home to start off his Canadian Professional Rodeo Association season and says he’ll now spend some time competing in the United States, before returning to Canada to make a run for the CFR.

What To Look Forward To Tonight At The 2017 Pro Agribition Rodeo
Brady Tryan, Tristen Woolsey Upend Team Roping Standings On Night Three
Many team ropers spend some time working on their partnership before they head to the rodeo, but the top team in round one just met today. Brady Tryan and Tristan Woolsey paired up together because neither of their partners qualified to compete at Agribition, and they finished their first run together in first place! Their 4.7-second run won round number one and put them in striking distance in the aggregate race. Brett and Justin McCarroll led the way in the average with 10.1 seconds on two head, so Tryan and Woolsey will need to be faster than 5.4 tomorrow to take the title.
Dantan Bertsch Says He’s Always Wanted To Draw C5’s Fabio
Dantan Bertsch paired up with C5 Rodeo’s “Fabio” and put on a show. Their score of 82 points was not high enough to edge out Ky Marshall’s 83.5-point score in round one, but Bertsch will take home a third-place cheque in the round, and he still has a chance in the aggregate if he can score more than 84 points tomorrow night.

Zane Lambert After A Strong Ride On C5’s Swamp Monster
C5 Rodeo’s “Swamp Monster” and two-time PBR Canadian champion Zane Lambert picked up a fourth-place cheque in round one with their score of 82 points. The bull riding was the only other event that didn’t see a leaderboard change, but Lambert is already looking ahead to the mountain he’ll need to climb in the aggregate. As the only bull rider to make a qualified ride in Pool B, Lambert is the only competitor from his pool with a chance to win the average, but he’ll have to earn more than 87 points to do it. Jared Parsonage is the No. 1 bull rider in the aggregate with a combined score of 169 points on two.

Jesse Popescul, Kevin Schreiner After 4.5-Second Run
