Jacob Gardner had a busy day at the Ponoka Stampede today. The reigning Canadian All-Around Champion went to work and is sitting fifth in the second round of steer wrestling competition after breaking out in the morning, and is now the No. 1 bull rider with a ride of 88.75 points on Vold's Devour.

Shane Hanchey was on a "different" sorrel this year at the Ponoka Stampede, but had very "similar" results. The three-time Canadian champion was without his main longscore mount Reata, but still had success on Bam Bam on Hanchey's first time riding him at the event with a unique start. Hanchey is sitting in the No. 1 spot in the average with his combined time of 17.9 on two.
Vold Rodeo's Pedro has been everywhere - from the top regular-season rodeos in North America to the Canadian Finals Rodeo and even four trips to the National Finals Rodeo - and as Lane Cust says, this horse is much more experienced than the young saddle bronc rider on his back today. But the young gun held his own for 83 points and a split of eighth place after the third round of competition.
